Two screws. Strip gone.
If you own the desk and don't mind two small screws, this is the sturdiest fix there is. Open wire means you can see and reach the switches, and it never traps heat under a brick.

Mark two holes
Hold the basket under the back edge, mark the two brackets with a pencil.

Drive the included 16 mm screws. A hand screwdriver is enough.
Strip in
Drop the strip in, tie the wall cable down the leg with the velcro ties.

Does it come with screws?
Yes, two 16 mm wood screws. Don't use them on a top thinner than 18 mm.
Can it hold a laptop brick?
Yes — the 60 cm version takes a strip and a brick, up to 3 kg.
