Is it real wood?
Yes — solid walnut, not veneer over MDF. The grain varies from tray to tray.
Will it scratch the desk?
No — the base is sanded smooth. On a glass desk, put it on the mat.
Does a phone fit?
Laid flat, yes — 20 × 13 cm takes any phone.
Does it have compartments?
No. One open tray — it's the version that actually stays tidy.
Does it come in oak?
Not yet. Walnut only for now — it's the one that photographs best on a felt mat.
